Reggaeton Beat Maker

Every reggaeton beat is built on the dembow: a kick on every beat and a snare that lands on the fourth and seventh 16th of each half-bar (a 3+3+2 feel). It is preloaded; press play.

The 808 follows the chord root in each bar; set a step's offset to walk the bassline. Pads hold until the next chord hit. Stabs are short.

Click a step once for a hit, twice for an accent, three times to clear. Space plays/stops, T taps tempo, R makes a random beat.

How to make a reggaeton beat

  1. Set the tempo between 88 and 100 BPM.
  2. Kick on every quarter note (steps 1, 5, 9, 13).
  3. Snare on steps 4, 7, 12 and 15: the dembow.
  4. Add 8th-note hats, then a conga or rim to decorate the 3+3+2 feel.
  5. Switch to the Trap kit and add an 808 for a modern, heavier reggaeton sound.

Typical tempo: 88–100 BPM. Need to match a reference track? Find its tempo with tap tempo.
